IBD Connect Inc. was formed in 2019 with a mission to support, engage and empower families living with Crohn’s & Colitis. The focus of the mission is on the entire family, as a child living with IBD affects everyone in the family differently. From Support Groups to Financial Resources to Warrior Bags for new patients, we hope to provide the resources that patients and family members need. If you would like to speak to us, please reach out to Lisa Fournier at 508-395-2278 or email to fournier.lisa75@gmail.com.
IBD Connect HistoryLisa Fournier, founder of IBD Connect, Inc. is the mother of two daughters living with Crohn’s Disease. Her daughter Randi began her journey with Crohn’s at the age of 4. With 4 children in the family, Randi being the youngest, it was a struggle to maneuver a busy life with the chaos that can come with a diagnosis at such a young age. During the middle school years, it was becoming more evident that Randi needed the support of others living with the illness as well, so they sought a support group for her. There weren’t any in the local area so they made the bold choice to start one at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, MA. As the group continued to grow the realization that there were so many other areas that could use support as well emerged. When Lisa’s daughter Jaimee was diagnosed with Crohn’s as well in 2018, thus began the journey of IBD Connect.
